ATX Power Control
ArkKVM includes an RJ12 extension port on the back, used to connect the ATX Power Control board for remote power management.
What It Does
The ATX Power Control board lets you remotely:
- Power on your computer
- Reset the system
- Monitor power and HDD activity (LED status)
It connects directly to your motherboard's front panel (F_PANEL), allowing ArkKVM to simulate the power and reset buttons.
Power Support
The ATX board also includes a USB-C port for 5V power input.
This allows it to:
- Provide backup power to ArkKVM via the RJ12 cable
- Help keep the device running if USB power from the host is unstable
See Power Options for more details.
Clean Installation
The board comes with a PCIe-style bracket, so you can mount it neatly inside your PC case.
Note: It does not use a PCIe slot electrically — it's for mounting only.
Keep Your Front Panel Working
You don’t need to give up your physical buttons.
Each pin is designed with a pass-through connection, so you can:
- Keep your original front panel buttons and LEDs connected
- Use ArkKVM at the same time
